Eligibility and your account
You must be 18 or over to use True Golf. You sign in using Sign in with Apple and are responsible for protecting access to your Apple Account and device. Information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date.
A normal account is created automatically when you first sign in. You must not create an account for another person, impersonate anyone, or attempt to bypass access controls.
Beta service
True Golf is pre-release software. Features, course data, subscription behaviour and availability may change, be incomplete, fail or be withdrawn. You should keep independent records of information that is important to you and provide feedback about defects where practical.
We may limit testing numbers, suspend features or end the beta. We will take reasonable care, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not promised. Some features require a compatible device, internet connection, Apple services, permissions or an active subscription; offline behaviour may be limited.
Subscriptions and purchases
True Golf may offer monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions. The price, billing period and any introductory offer are shown by Apple before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, the subscription renews automatically and Apple charges the applicable price.
Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies and applicable consumer law. Use Restore Purchases in True Golf to restore eligible access. TestFlight purchases use Apple’s sandbox and do not create real charges.
Deleting your True Golf account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Cancelling a subscription does not delete your True Golf account.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, reverse engineer it except where law permits, upload unlawful or harmful material, submit deliberately false course data, infringe another person’s rights, or use True Golf for illegal activity.
We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, address a serious breach, comply with law, or operate the beta. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Your scores and submissions
You retain ownership of scores, round information and other original content you submit. You give the app provider a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process and display that content as needed to operate True Golf.
For course corrections, green coordinates and other course information, the licence also permits us to review, verify, adapt, combine and incorporate the information into a shared course database. Accepted information may remain as de-identified canonical course data after account deletion. You confirm that you have the right to submit the information.
Golf, GPS and handicap information
GPS yardages, maps, course information, statistics, scoring calculations and recommendations are estimates. Conditions, device accuracy, mapping data and user input can make them incomplete or wrong. Always use your own judgement, observe course rules and remain aware of your surroundings.
True Golf does not guarantee that any handicap, allowance, score, statistic or calculation is an official handicap or an authorised tournament ruling. Check official rules and the relevant club, competition organiser or handicap authority before relying on it.
Intellectual property
The app, brand, interface, software and provider-created content are owned by or licensed to the app provider and are protected by intellectual-property law. Subject to Apple’s Standard EULA and these terms, you receive a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose.
Liability and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to those protections, the beta is provided for personal and recreational use. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, business losses, or loss caused by inaccurate user input, third-party services, connectivity, failure to follow course rules, or use outside the app’s intended purpose. You remain responsible for safe play and decisions made on the course.
Account deletion
You can request deletion in the app from Profile, then Delete Account. Deletion is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature need to continue, including ownership, licences already used for de-identified course data, liability limits and dispute terms, survive deletion.
Changes and law
We may update these terms as the beta develops. Material changes will be presented in the app or otherwise communicated where appropriate. Continuing after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms; if you do not agree, stop using True Golf and delete your account.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer elsewhere in the UK, you retain any mandatory protections and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under consumer law. Contact support@truegolf.app with questions or concerns.
